Mark Chiappara

CEO, Managing Partner

Mr. Chiappara is the Managing Partner and CEO of the CAPLINX team. He is responsible for acquiring and developing relationships with ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families and select institutions nationally. Mr. Chiappara has held senior positions at Deutsche Bank, Bank of America, Lehman Brothers, and Goldman Sachs.  Prior to a career in private banking he worked for KPMG as a Certified Public Accountant. 

Mr. Chiappara earned a B.S. from Washington and Lee University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. He received the CPA designation which he no longer maintains.  


Greg Barrow

COO, Managing Director

Mr. Barrow is an adviser to CAPLINX. Currently he is the Managing Director of General Capital Partners, a middle-market investment bank, where he focuses on a broad array of middle market industries including real estate, and the food and beverage industry.  He has an extensive background in business leadership, entrepreneurship and investment banking. Greg founded GCP in 2002 to leverage his experience in the distressed marketplace and the firm is a preeminent middle market player in a variety of industries. 


Mr. Barrow earned a B.S. from Washington and Lee University.  He is a black belt in Tae Kwon 

Do, and enjoys skiing, fishing and yoga.

Steve Young

Managing Director  

Mr. Young is a Managing Director on the CAPLINX team with over 30 years of experience in investments, credit and private banking. In addition to his responsibilities in business development, he is expert in credit underwriting and analysis. Prior to joining CAPLINX, Mr. Young held senior roles at Citibank, Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan and Bank of America.  

Mr. Young received his undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Washington and received the CPA designation which he no longer maintains.

Craig Kennedy

Senior Advisor

Mr. Kennedy is the Managing Partner of Kennedy Ventures, a family office-backed investment group. He has over 30 years of experience in corporate finance and banking. Before accepting a position with CAPLINX, he spent fifteen years as Managing Director for Allen & Company LLC, where his in-depth understanding of corporate finance made him an integral part of the company’s operations.  He also spent five years as Director of Banc of America Securities Media & Telecom Group, and four years as Merchant Banker at Gleacher NatWest. 

Mr. Kennedy earned a B.A. from Yale University, and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. 


Greg Bibas

Managing Director 

Mr. Bibas is the SVP of Lead Generation and the head of the CAPLINX Strategies team. He is responsible for asset and client objective evaluation, development of strategic options, and solution execution. Mr. Bibas is a former consultant with Bain and Company, a turn-around executive for a TPG Private Equity owned businesses, and the founder and operator of a boutique management consulting practice serving major Private Equity firms, and Fortune 500 clients.

Mr. Bibas earned a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.B.A from the Wharton School of Business.


Lorenzo Gatti

Managing Director

Mr. Gatti is a Senior Private Banker who has acquired broad experience in managing M&A processes in a variety of industry sectors, assisting industrial enterprises or their shareholders as well as private equity funds, in Germany and Italy. Prior to founding Gatti & Co. in 2009, Lorenzo was Managing Director in the Frankfurt office of Leonardo & Co., and Partner of the Frankfurt-based investment banking firm Drueker & Co. 

Lorenzo holds a degree cum laude in electronic engineering from the Politecnico di Milano (Milan, Italy) and an MBA from Columbia Business School (New York, USA). He is fluent in German, Italian and English.

Sam Malhotra

Senior Vice President  

Mr. Malhotra is a Senior Vice President on the CAPLINX team with over 15 years of experience in finance and corporate strategy. In addition to his responsibilities in business development, he is expert in financial modeling and valuation. Mr. Malhotra has held senior positions in the corporate strategy and risk management divisions of Royal Caribbean Cruises and at Florida Capital Partners. 

Mr. Malhotra earned a B.S. from the University of Kentucky, where he was the Valedictorian for the graduating class, and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
